Established in 2013, the LoomRoom is a community weaving studio with regular classes and workshops. Its motto is “real weaving for real people!” The studio has a huge range of looms – something for everyone.
Weaving classes at the LoomRoom are affordable, entertaining, creative and sometimes subversive - life changing, even.

The Valley Cycle Workshop was founded by Peter McDonald, driven by his passion for providing accessible bike repair services to the community. For a small charge, the workshop offers free bike repair sessions, ensuring that everyone in Dunedin can benefit from two wheels, regardless of their financial situation.
Today, Peter’s Workshop continues to thrive, accepting bike donations, repairing them, and giving them to individuals who may otherwise not be able to afford one. By removing transportation barriers, the Workshop helps empower people to move freely around the city.
The Workshop operates entirely through the generosity of donations.
The opening hours are:
Tuesdays - 3:00pm - 5:30pm
Saturdays - 9:30am - 12:30pm
