MEET VALLEY PROJECT BOARD MEMBER NATASHA MURACHVER, A COMMUNICATION DESIGNER FROM OPOHO

Natasha Murachver

What do you love about your local community?

We're diverse and welcoming to that diversity.

What's the best thing about living here?

Everything's in walking distance, and the hills, views and green make for lovely walking.

What do you love to do in your spare time?

Pretty boring stuff when I'm not at work.

Favourite book?

The answer is almost always whatever I'm currently reading (False River by Paula Morris).

What prompted you to join the Valley Project executive board?

I'd been a reader and follower of the Valley Voice and project, but didn't think of myself as the sort of person who would know the first thing about being on a board. A friend and current exec member asked if I would be interested.

What have you enjoyed most about being on the board?

It's awesome to see community projects that start from a seed of an idea and are then brought into being by wonderful people!

I really marvel at all the great initiative and things that have come out of the Valley Project.

What would you say to anybody thinking about joining?

I still only have a very working knowledge of being on the executive board, but I don't think that should ever stop someone.

What probably matters the most is diversity on the board and wanting to be a part of making the community project great.

Are you interested in joining the Valley Project executive board?

We have an information evening happening tonight and our AGM is coming up soon.
